These were taken at Glastonbury in about 1971, that's me on stage when I was seven. I wasn't supposed to be there, I just managed to sneak up some stairs at the back of the pyramid without anyone noticing.
I'm in the picture of the pyramid, but you have to look closely. Click the pictures to see them bigger.
I went with my Mum, Dad and Sister because we wanted to see a talk by a religious leader who was there that year.
I have only a faint memory of the whole thing, it was very muddy, the car got stuck, and we stayed at a local pub that had a fruit machine. Also my Dad was on telly because he had a chat with someone famous. By the way, it's not just 1971 that's a bit hazy, most of my memories have this much detail in them.
The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts is a huge music and performing arts festival in the world. Glastonbury Festival is famous for modern music but you also experience comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret and dance events.
In 2005 over 150,000 attended the festival and there were about 385 performances by a variety of acts. There is no festival in 2006. Michael Eavis hosted the first festival (Pilton Festival) after going to an open air Led Zeppelin concert at the Bath and West showground in 1970. The first festival in 1970 was a small event with 1,500 attendees. The following year when I went was on a larger scale and was called the Glastonbury Fayre of 1971.
